What strategy does the Tareno Schweizer Aktienperlen Fonds pursue?

The fund invests exclusively in companies domiciled in Switzerland. The focus is on large caps with sustainable dividend payouts, while selected mid caps are included in the portfolio according to strict selection criteria in terms of financial stability, fundamental valuation, growth potential and liquidity. With a targeted selection of at least 30 companies from various sectors, the opportunities of the Swiss equity market can be optimally exploited without sacrificing broad diversification. To avoid cluster risks, the weighting of individual positions is limited to a maximum of 5%.

Why should investors invest in Swiss equities?

Swiss companies impress with their stability and innovative strength. Switzerland’s exceptional legal certainty and reliable regulatory environment play a decisive role in this. Due to the limited domestic market, many Swiss companies have successfully held their own in global competition for decades and thus benefit from international growth opportunities. The strong Swiss franc has always forced Swiss companies to differentiate themselves through quality and innovation – two core values that make companies successful in the long term.

For which investors is the fund suitable?

The fund is suitable for all investors who want to benefit from the advantages of the Swiss equity market in an uncomplicated way. With a historical annual return on the Swiss equity market of 7.7% per year in the period from 1926 to 2024 and a current dividend yield of 2.2%, an investment is particularly suitable for long-term wealth accumulation, for example for retirement provision.

How does the fund differ from other Swiss equity funds?

Compared to passive index products, the fund offers the opportunity for additional returns and better risk diversification. Since its launch in May 2023, our qualitative selection has proven its strength and achieved a significant outperformance compared to index products. We significantly reduce cluster risk through broad diversification and by limiting the position size to a maximum of 5%. In comparison, around 53% and 42% of the weighting in the SMI and SPI respectively is concentrated on the three largest companies Nestlé, Novartis and Roche. The fund is also characterized by an attractive fee structure of around 0.7% total costs p.a., which is extremely competitive for an actively managed fund in Switzerland.
