Othmar Cueni

After comple­ting his basic commer­cial training, Othmar Cueni continued his educa­tion. He studied adver­ti­sing and PR, human resources manage­ment and, in parti­cular, banking and manage­ment (inclu­ding London Business School and Harvard Business School). For 35 years, he held various positions at Credit Suisse in Geneva, Basel, Bern and Zurich, most recently as Managing Director. Among other things, he was Head of Adver­ti­sing and PR, Head of Human Resources, Chief of Staff, Head of Overall Bank Projects, Head of the Northern Switz­er­land Region and Head of the Private Banking Insti­tute & Region Switz­er­land of the CS Business School.

From 2008 to 2014, Othmar Cueni was a member of the Execu­tive Board of Basel­land­schaft­liche Kanto­nal­bank with respon­si­bi­lity for retail and private banking as well as all branches. He retired at his own request at the age of 62. For nine years, he served as Presi­dent of Wander­wege beider Basel and on the Board of Basel­land Tourismus. He is Honorary Presi­dent of Wander­wege beider Basel and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Swiss Hiking Trails. He also works as a freelancer for upCon­sult. He has been on the Board of Direc­tors of Tareno AG since 2016. His more than forty years of practical experi­ence in the banking business, inclu­ding 35 years in manage­ment positions, ideally comple­ments the Board of Direc­tors of Tareno AG.
