Safe Drinking Water Program in Nepal

Drinking water for four schools – impact investing with a lasting impact
The safe drinking water program covers four schools in different regions of Nepal. The production of the water filters with Tulip ceramic candles was carried out on site at the ECCA office. The beneficiaries received training on the cleaning process and educational cleaning stickers were designed and placed on the upper half of the water filter housing. Approximately 2,100 liters of water are filtered through the water filters every day, benefiting 3,400 people. In addition to the installation of the new water filters, existing water filter systems were also repaired, to which the ECCA contributed financially.

Project partner
The project was implemented together with our partner ECCA and made possible by donations from the Impact share class of the Tareno Water Fund. The installation of water filters will improve hygienic conditions at the four schools. The project thus ensures a long-term drinking water supply for the schools and villages outside the Kathmandu Valley. Further information and pictures can be found in the project description.
