Targeted investment of pension assets

For many investors, the pension assets they have saved are the most important part of their total assets. But how is it invested in a targeted manner? There is no one-size-fits-all solution. The decisive factor is always your own personal situation. As an award-winning independent asset manager with a FINMA license, we have specialized in individually structuring and independently managing pension and vested benefits assets for 25 years.

Professional investment of pension assets

With the withdrawal of your pension capital, a new responsibility begins. Decisions regarding private assets or vested benefits and investment strategy have a direct impact on your financial situation in retirement.

Many investors are faced with the same questions:

  • How should I invest?
  • How much risk is sensible?
  • How can I secure my income in the long term?

Based on your personal situation, we will answer these questions, develop an investment strategy and implement it professionally for you.

Investment in retirement

By withdrawing capital, you take responsibility for your assets. The decisive factor here is a sustainable balance between capital preservation and thus protection against inflation as well as a reliable income in combination with consistent risk control. Especially in this phase, wrong decisions often have long-term effects and are difficult to correct later.

The most important principles for investing pension capital

Adapt your strategy to your stage of life

Your investment strategy must match your life expectancy, risk capacity and income requirements.

Diversification

Broadly diversify risk across countries, industries and sectors and thus avoid cluster risks.

Risk management

Too high a risk jeopardizes your capital, too low a return jeopardizes your purchasing power.

Pension replacement

Your money should work for you and generate returns.

Using pension fund capital correctly: Vested benefits solution or private assets?

When you withdraw your pension fund assets, your pension fund assets are transferred to your private bank account and are freely available to you. They are taxed once at a reduced special rate and then count as private assets. It is therefore subject to wealth tax and income tax. A vested benefits account can be an alternative here. Your pension fund assets are parked in a vested benefits account. During this time, the assets remain tax-privileged. Withdrawal tax is postponed until the vested benefits account is closed and no wealth or income tax is payable during this time. However, as with the PF, the money cannot be accessed until the account is closed. You can find out whether a vested benefits custody account is at all possible or makes sense for you by talking to us.

Regardless of whether you opt for private assets or a vested benefits solution. We offer everything from a single source.

Let’s talk

When can a vested benefits custody account be opened by law?

You have decided to withdraw the pension fund capital, but do not need the capital at the moment and are looking for a tax-optimized solution. (For this purpose, a custody account is opened so that the capital is not withdrawn immediately in cash, but continues to be managed for a maximum of five years beyond the reference age. From 2030 onwards, this deferral requires evidence of gainful employment).
You are temporarily or for a longer period no longer in gainful employment.
You have changed employer and cannot transfer the entire amount to the new pension fund.
You are leaving Switzerland.
You are becoming self-employed or are already self-employed.
You are entitled to a portion of your spouse’s pension fund assets as part of divorce proceedings.
